By Doug Bleggi

The world famous Morrison Hotel is going to be making a Miami appearance at this year’s Art Basel. Partnering with the Dream South Beach, the venue will be transforming itself into the New York City-based fine art photography gallery. The show will exhibit both rare and never-before-seen collections from its archive of world-class music photographers.

Among some of the featured works will be Jack White, White Stripes Canada Tour by Autumn De Wilde, Keith Richards and Ron Wood, Los Angeles, CA by Henry Diltz, Bruce Springsteen, Darkness by Frank Stefanko, Debbie (Harry) Shades by fellow Blondie member Chris Stein, Black Keys by Danny Clinch and Jim Morrison, NYC by Joel Brodsky just to name a few.

Joining in on the celebration will be jewelry designer King Baby and Perrier who will be overseeing some rock ‘n’ roll-inspired cocktails on December 6 and 7 over at Highbar for a rooftop pool party with music supplied by Electric Room DJs Kieren Taylor and David Katz along with a special guest appearance. The December 6 show will also feature photos and hosting duties by longtime Morrison Hotel collaborator Julian Lennon.

This year at Art Basel, rock ‘n’ roll dreams really do come true.
